This is a small painting which depicts my good friend BRIAN's old cottage at SALLY's POND, near Knowlton Village in the Province of Quebec.

I refer to it as BRIAN's 'old' cottage, since this picturesque dwelling has been torn down. 'Mr Brian' has rebuilt. The result is a spectacular new country home.

I believe the 'old' dwelling should be remembered.

Many of Brian's friends (including your humble painter) savored its rustic charm as it sat perched above SALLY's POND for many years...
